Durante il Comic-con di San Diego, conclusosi qualche giorno fa, sono stati consegnati i premi dell’Eisner Award 2011.
L’Eisner Award è paragonato all’Oscar nel mondo del cinema ed è una delle manifestazioni più attese dagli autori e dai fan dei balloon, questi premi sono dedicati a Will Eisner, in onore del suo grande contributo sul campo. Durante questa manifestazione una giuria di professionisti è tenuta a votare il miglior lavoro per ogni categoria. Anche quest’anno ci sono stati numerose le nomination, passiamo ora ai vincitori.
Per la categoria Best Short Story è stato premiato Post Mortem di Greg Rucka e Michael Lark in I am a Avenger #2 (Marvel).
Per la Best Publication for kids è stato eletto vincitore Tiny Titans di Art Baltzar e Franco.
Nella sezione Best Publication for teen ha vinto Smile  di Raina Telgemeier.
Per Best Humor Publication ha vinto I Thought You Would Be Funnier  di Shannon Wheeler.
Per la sezione Best Single Issue (or One-Shot) Â ha vinto Hellboy: Double Feature of Evil, di Mike Mignola e Richard Corben.
Nella categoria Best Continuing Series è stato premiato Chew, di John Layman e Rob Guillory.
Per Best Limited Series ha vinto Daytripper, di Fabio Moon e Gabriel Ba.
Per la sezione Best New Series ha vinto American Vampire, di Scott Snyder, Stephen King, e Rafael Albuquerque
In Best Anthology ha vinto Mouse Guard: Legends of the Guard, edito da Paul Morrissey e David Petersen.
Per la categoria Best Digital Comic è stato premiato Abominable Charles Christopher, di Karl Kerschl.
Nella categoria Best Reality-Based Work è stato premiato It Was the War of the Trenches, di Jacques Tardi
In Best Graphic Album—New ha vinto Return of the Dapper Men, di Jim McCann e Janet Lee; Wilson, di Daniel Clowes.
